Our summer series is called Walking with Jesus. We are looking at the life and ministry of the Lord using a chronological approach which involves a study of the Harmony of the Gospels.
Today we'll look at a portion of John 5:10-47 and will be answering two main questions:
1. Who is Jesus really?
2. What is my responsibility to Jesus?
Up to this point there has been a lot of speculation and Jesus has been hushing people who have the revelation of who He is. But in today's passage, He is no longer hiding...He is making His big announcement that He is God!

We are still in the ministry training phase of Jesus's ministry where He is using Ministry Exercises and Ministry Expeditions to prepare the disciples for ministry.
Last week we learned of a paralyzed or crippled man who Jesus heals after 38 years in that condition.
In John 5:10-15 we see that this man didn't even know who Jesus was.
In John 5:14-15 Jesus returns to the healed man and tells him that while he has been physically healed, he is still in need of spiritual healing which is more important than just his physical health. The man then went to tell the Jewish religious leaders who it was who healed him on the Sabbath. In this we see that the man loved Jesus when he did what he wanted, but when Jesus challenged him further, he runs.
