A look back at how our community came together to serve our neighbors
What a day!
This past Saturday, over 150 volunteers from our church family came together for our annual Serve Day. The energy was incredible, the hearts were willing, and our community felt the love of Christ in action.
Our team at Harvest Hope Food Bank worked for hours, sorting and packing enough food to feed 500 families this month. Many hands really do make light work.
A group of 30 volunteers spent the morning at Sunset Senior Living. They played games, shared stories, and reminded our elderly neighbors that they are not forgotten. One resident said it was the best Saturday she has had in years.
Our youth group tackled the area around Miller Park. They picked up litter, painted over graffiti, and even planted flowers near the playground. The neighborhood looks brighter already.
Our construction crew fixed a leaking roof for the Martinez family and repaired the front steps for Mrs. Johnson. Both families were overwhelmed with gratitude.
150+ volunteers
500 food boxes packed
2 homes repaired
12 bags of trash collected
Countless smiles shared
To everyone who gave their time, energy, and love this weekend: thank you. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. This is what the church looks like when we step outside our walls.
Our next community outreach is the Easter Food Drive on April 12. Sign up at the Welcome Desk or online. Let us keep the momentum going!
