A church oriented toward mission
The notes contrast an outward mission with an inward pull toward insiders. They ask whether church revolves around personal benefit, family belonging, or shared participation in God’s mission.
Judge by purpose
Criticisms about size, depth, politics, or being needed are redirected toward discipleship, drawing people to Jesus, community, and an outward focus. Mission guides the evaluation.
Depth requires application
Hearing more is insufficient without practice. The message links spiritual depth to sacrificial love and dependence on God. Read James 1:22–25 and Matthew 7:24–25.
Obedience stretches faith

Put gifts to work
