The Race of Life

We are all in a race, aren't we? The mission is to keep going, and the vision is the finish line God has set for us.

I know times are hard. I know budgets are tight. I know all you are remembering are the good times. But my son, my daughter, this morning I declare to you: keep going.

I didn't bring you this far to leave you.

How Do You Keep Going?

When mentally you're pushed to your edge, physically you're just holding on, and spiritually you feel barely present—how do you find the strength to persist?

1. Keep Your Trust in Me

It's not just about putting your trust in me, but about keeping it there. Don't let go, don't lose faith just because times are hard. The wind will come, the wind will blow, but keep your trust in me.

The thief, the enemy, comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. But there's a greater truth about why I came:

John 10:10
BSB
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.
BSB

I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

This abundance is our portion.

2. Be Prayerful

Prayer is your spiritual gym. You need to work out, you need to stay in shape spiritually. A big part of that is prayer.

How is it a workout? It acts as a disciplined, active exercise that builds spiritual muscle, strengthens faith, and transforms character through consistent effort.

Luke 18:1
BSB
1 Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart:
BSB
Romans 12:12
BSB
12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.
BSB

3. Push Through It

Something in life, some seasons, are not easy to get through. But God gives us the tools to just push through it.

How does God say to push through it? "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the Lord. You may have tried all the doctors, all the solutions, but remember the woman who only needed to touch the hem of His garment.

Even when you are in the fire, remember who your God is:

Hebrews 12:29
BSB
29 “For our God is a consuming fire.”
BSB

My son, my daughter, keep on going. You know how sometimes you are walking and can't see what's ahead? God can see what is happening, and He forgets what is behind. So keep on walking.

Keep on moving, keep on going! This isn't the season to sit in. This is the season to keep moving because your movement brings opportunity, and opportunity brings open doors, and open doors bring what God has in store.

Today, the reminder is simple: keep on going. You have faced loss, hurt, pain, and attack. But your movement matters in this season, your movement matters in this moment. Keep going!
