You do not need permission from a pastor, a program, or a planning committee. You just need one other person who is willing to pray.

Here is how to start.

Step 1: Find one person.

Not ten. Not five. One. Text someone you trust and say, "Would you want to pray together once a week at school?" That is it. One honest conversation starts everything.

Step 2: Pick a time and place.

Before first period. During lunch. After school by the bleachers. It does not need to be dramatic. Consistency matters more than setting.

Step 3: Keep it simple.

When you meet, do three things: share one thing you are grateful for, share one thing you need prayer for, and pray. Out loud or silently. Five minutes is enough.

Step 4: Invite, but do not pressure.

If someone asks what you are doing, tell them. If they want to join, welcome them. If they do not, that is fine. A prayer group that stays at two people is still a prayer group.

Step 5: Do not quit after two weeks.

The first few times will feel awkward. That is normal. Jesus said where two or three gather in His name, He is there. He did not say it would feel natural right away.

You are not too young to do something that matters. Tag someone who would be down to start this with you.
