A Message from Your Heavenly Father

Dear Son, dear Daughter,

I love you. I miss you so much. I miss you more than anything. I miss our conversations, our connection. I miss those times you used to set aside just to talk to Me, just to listen to Me.

I miss when you used to read My Word and ask Me questions. I miss when you used to pray (talk) to Me about your friends and your family. I miss My time with you. I miss everything about you: your smile, your joy, your quick answers, even your temper at times.

I miss you, My son. I miss you, My daughter! I still love you. I still truly do love you, and that will never change! I am still here. My connection (prayer) is still here, anytime, any place, anywhere.

The Heart of Your God

Perhaps you've known people in your life who are quick to anger, and that's not a good feeling. But your God, your Heavenly Father, is slow to anger.

Perhaps today you're not feeling any compassion. Well, God is compassionate. Your Heavenly Father is. And if you are in need of mercy, you are in the presence of a merciful God.

Psalms 103:8
BSB
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion.
BSB
The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

This verse reveals the very nature of God. He is filled with unfailing love, which is why His compassion is endless and His anger is slow. It's all possible because of His unfailing love for you.

We all fall short, but the agape love of God is active and working in your life.

Grasping the Immeasurable

How vast is God's love? It's not something we can simply grasp with our human understanding alone. It requires a divine revelation, a strengthening in our inner being, to truly comprehend its scope.

Ephesians 3:14-19
BSB
14 ... for this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
16 I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth
19 of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
BSB

The Apostle Paul prayed that believers would be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend its width and length and depth and height.

  • The width speaks to the comprehensiveness of God's love.
  • The length shows how His love extends throughout all ages.
  • The depth represents how far God will go with His love.
  • The height indicates His love reaches even to heaven.
This love of Christ passes all human knowledge. You can't measure it with a ruler; it's too long, too deep, too high.

His love for us is one of a kind. It's timeless, it's deep, it's the standard. You have to get a deep understanding of this unfailing, endless, everlasting love.

The Ninety-Nine and the One

Remember the parable of the lost sheep? We were all 'the one' at some point. Just like the opening message, someone today may be backsliding or on the fence. They are that one.

Matthew 18:10-14
BSB
10 See that you do not look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in heaven.
12 What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?
13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices more over that one sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.
14 In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
BSB

God is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. He will leave the ninety-nine to go look for the one that wandered off. When He finds it, He is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.

This shows God's heart: a relentless pursuit of you, the one who might feel lost or far away.

Come as You Are

Just as Jesus welcomed the little children, He welcomes you. Do not let anything hinder you from coming to Him.

Matthew 19:13-15
BSB
13 Then the little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15 And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.

The Source of All Love

Our ability to love, truly love, stems directly from Him. He opened the door to love within us.

1 John 4:19
BSB
19 We love because He first loved us.
BSB
We love each other because he loved us first.

God is love, and love is God. When we show love to everyone we meet, we are introducing them to God Himself!

His Compassion Never Ends

Even when we feel like we've reached our limit, His mercies are new every morning. His loving-kindness begins afresh each day.

Lamentations 3:22-23
BSB
22 Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
BSB

God's Love is 'Heavy'

God's love for us is heavy. It cannot be broken, we cannot hold it in, it cannot be moved.

Look at your life and all you have been through. One thing you will realize is that God's love has been there. It is a heavy presence that keeps you together when you are falling apart. It is the reminder of patience when you are in a rush. It is the feeling of love when you are dealing with cold, harsh realities. God's heavy love is what truly keeps us.

Love and Purpose

God calls us to love first. Because if love is there, whatever purpose He is calling us to accomplish through Him will be much better with Him involved.

Romans 8:28
BSB
28 And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
BSB
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

He's Still Coming for You

Even when we want to go opposite of God, the enemy waits. But God is still working things out. Think of Jonah, who ran away from God's calling. He said, 'I don't want it, Lord! I don't want to come to church, I don't want to serve, I don't want to live for You.' Yet God still says, 'My son, My daughter, I'm not taking what I deposited in you away.'

If you are going to be great, you will need Me to do it. So I'm coming after you with everything I've got, no matter how far away you go or how much you try to hide. Like Adam and Eve, I see you. I'm coming for you to get it corrected and fixed.

You Are Chosen

At your worst, He still chose you. At your best, He still chooses you! After all you've been through, He chose you!

Many have left along the way, but He always chose to stay. He believes in you like no one else does! He is in love with you and has been since the beginning of time! The beautiful thing is, He sits outside of time, smiling down at you, planning things for you, pouring His endless love on you!

Remember that today. Remember Him today. Remember that you have been chosen since the beginning by the Creator of the world, just to simply have a growing relationship with Him, just to simply love you and pour out His love on you. He chose you after your greatest mistake, after all that was done in the dark, after people quit on you. He still chose you! He still believed in you! He chose you so that together, you can change the world!
