There's an old song that speaks to the deepest part of our being, echoing a truth that changes everything:

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives

This isn't just a catchy tune; it's the very heartbeat of our faith. Without the resurrection, as Luther said, "we have no Gospel and we have no such thing as Christianity."

Luke 24:1-12
BSB
1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.
5 As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
6 He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee:
7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”
8 Then they remembered His words.
9 And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles.
11 But their words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe the women.
12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. And after bending down and seeing only the linen cloths, he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

Our hope, our peace, our deepest aspirations all rest on one singular, powerful fact:

Jesus came to live the life we couldn't, died the death we deserved, and took the penalty for our rebellion against God.

But His story didn't end there. Three days later, He rose from the dead, demonstrating all power in His hands. He now sits at the right hand of God, continually interceding for you and for me.

This resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith. It verifies everything Jesus said and did, confirming that His sacrifice was accepted by the Father.

Because of His resurrection, we can place our full trust in Him. He is who He says He is, with resurrection proof backing every claim.

Sit with this for a moment: What fears or uncertainties does the truth of a risen Savior quiet in your heart today?

Thank God for the Resurrection! Because of it, our future is guaranteed. We can experience a new kind of life, resurrection life, right here and now.

He is not a dead savior, but a risen King. He came as a Suffering Servant, but He will return as a Conquering King, with all power in His hands.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible truth of Jesus' resurrection. Help me to live each day in the freedom and hope this brings, trusting that You hold my future. Amen.

Soon and very soon, we will join in a new song, declaring that "the kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdom of our God and of His Christ; and to Him be Glory, Honor and Power now and forevermore."

Let this truth empower you today: He lives, and because He lives, you can face anything.
