A week-long prayer guide for our congregation as we enter a season of renewal and fresh vision.
Dear Harbor Light family,
As we step into this new season, I want to invite each of you into a week of intentional prayer. Not long prayers. Not complicated prayers. Just honest conversations with God about the things that matter most to our church and community.
Below you will find a simple guide: one focus for each day. Pray in the morning, at lunch, before bed, wherever it fits. The point is not perfection. The point is presence.
Lord, knit our hearts together. Where there is division, bring understanding. Where there is distance, draw us close. Help us to be one body, with one purpose, under one Lord.
Pray for your small group, your pew neighbor, and the person at church whose name you do not know yet.
Father, strengthen the hands of those who serve. Give our pastors clarity, rest, and courage. Protect their families. Remind them today that their labor is not in vain.
Consider sending a text or note to a church leader today. Let them know you are praying.
God, guard the hearts of the next generation. Give our teachers and youth leaders wisdom. Let our church be a place where young people encounter You, not just a program, but a Person.
Lord, You know every person in our church who is carrying something heavy right now. Grief. Illness. Financial worry. Loneliness. Meet them today. Use us to be Your hands and feet.
Is there someone in our congregation you could check in on today?
Open our eyes to the people right around us. The neighbor who just moved in. The family at the bus stop. The coworker who seems distant. Show us where You are already working and invite us in.
Prepare our hearts for worship. Let Sunday be more than routine. Remove distractions. Soften hard ground. Let someone walk through our doors for the first time and feel at home.
Lord, show us what is next. Not the whole map, just the next step. Give us faith to follow where You lead, even when we cannot see the destination. We trust You with the future of this church.
Church, let us enter this season together. Not with a plan, but with a posture: open hands, humble hearts, and a willingness to be surprised by what God does next.
With love and hope,
Your pastoral team
