If your thoughts have been loud lately, pause here for a moment.

Anxiety is not a sign of weak faith. Even the psalmists cried out in distress. Even Jesus wept. Your struggle does not disqualify you from God's love. It qualifies you for His comfort.

A Prayer:

Father, my mind is racing and my heart is heavy. I bring You every worry I have been carrying, even the ones I cannot name. You know them all.

Quiet the noise inside me. Replace my "what ifs" with Your "I am." Where fear has taken root, plant peace. Where doubt has built walls, open doors.

Help me release what I cannot control. Remind me that You are working in the spaces I cannot see. Give me the courage to rest, even when everything in me wants to fix and plan and worry.

Scripture Passage
BSB
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
BSB

I choose to trust You today. Not because I have all the answers, but because You do. Not because my feelings have changed, but because Your faithfulness has not.

Hold me steady, Lord. And if I stumble, catch me. I am Yours.

Amen.

A Simple Practice for This Week:

When anxiety rises, try the "5-4-3-2-1" grounding exercise:

  • 5 things you can see
  • 4 things you can touch
  • 3 things you can hear
  • 2 things you can smell
  • 1 thing you can taste

Then whisper: "God, You are here."

"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book." - Psalm 56:8

Save this deck. Come back to it whenever you need to breathe and remember: you are held.
